Hey it's only 4th Shawal, and I have to come to work. Not fair!!! Anyway Selamat Menyambut Hari Lebaran Minal Aidil Wa Fa'izin, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

After the rendang, and loads of ketupat and lemang its natural for our body to react slowly to the reality of "Going back to work".

After much persuasion/negotiation with my inner self, I finally arrived my work place this morning.

It's Na Birthday Last Saturday July 17th 2009

It is Na Birthday last Saturday 17th July 2009. And the gang decided to celebrate in Bubba Gump the Curve. These are real friends, the people that we can count on rain or shine.

I guessed everyone had a good time especially the birthday girl. She was loaded with all the gifts from the gang.

Prior to that the children treated their mother with waffles and ice cream in A&W PJ.

Later all of us watch movies of course Harry Potter in Sunway Pyramid and dinner at the favourite restaurant TGIF.

Well I thank Allah for another year with my lovely wife. Happy Birthday To You with many many more to come.

I am so blessed with this job. Did my best and proud to have it delivered. And of course with the undivided support and encouragement from my beloved team. They are the true world class A- Team anyone can have.

Along we will always missed you

My elder brother Capt (R) Ahmad Hamidi Talib passed away today a year ago. He left behind his beloved wife and 2 beautiful children.

I can still remember the day before he left us, he sent sms (I still keep his sms) saying that he will wait for me and my wife at the KLIA Airport upon our returned from Washington DC.

But Allah love him more as Along left us suddenly on that Saturday morning in Johor.

His employer, bosses and fellow colleagues have been very supportive to the family. On behalf of Along's family, I would like to extend our deepest appreciation and thanks to all of them for helping out from the day Along left us up till today with their assistance, prayers and encouragement. Only Allah will be able to return their good deeds to the family.

We will always remember him and will take care of his children and family.

May Along be with the Righteous.

Its my birthday today 4th April.

Another year older but not sure if another year wiser. But for sure another year full of life and I won't waste it. Alhamdullilah, thank Allah for what I have and what I am blessed with for the past one year.

We have a new Prime Minister today - RAHMAN Theory works!

YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak was sworn in as the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia today!

My RAHMAN theory which I subscript to since 1974 (I was in Std 4 in Banda Hilir English School (2) and my best friend Khairul told me about this RAHMAN theory, Tun Mahathir was the then Minister of Education ), has proven correct again and the chain completed.

All our Prime Ministers will have their names begin with the letters RAHMAN starting with

R - Tunku Abdul Rahman
A - Abdul Razak
H- Hussein Onn
M- Mahathir
A- Abdullah ( At one time I thought it will be Anwar, but he screwed-up)
N- Najib

For once, I felt extremely happy and excited cause something that I believed in came true.

So what's next... it will be interesting if we can now have NAJIB theory... and for my ego, I will like to see it works. So the next Prime Minister will be someone whose name start with letter A... Anwar??? Hehehe....

Maybe Ahmad Zahid Hamidi sounds more realistic or Ali Rastam... maybe some unknown new blood in the organization..but it must be with letter A...

Penantian

I read the sad news today my favourite song composer Zubir Ali passed away due to heart complication. Just last week my close expatriate buddy who I have been working with for the past 10 years was also admitted to Ampang Putri ICU also due to heart problems. But my colleuge is recuperating not Zubir.

About Zubir Ali, I love all his songs especially "Penantian". It is a very beautiful song and in those days 1980's his poetic songs start to change the local music trend from the Alleycat/Black Dog Bone "one way ticket" tune to melodic, poetic music with deep meaning lyrics. More of these poetic songs from Kopratasa, Sohaime Meor Hassan, Ebiet G Ade start to dominate the music industries and they were well received. Zubir Ali group Harmoni was one of my favourite especially with Azie and Ogy. I can still remember the lyrics and suddenly I am humming it slowly..

Those days the students (we were in Form 5 just finishing our High School Examinations SPM) were anxiously waiting for the exam's results as all of us had our dreams to study overseas. The Penantian lyric above somehow relate well to the agony that we were going thru with the waiting game. Thus most of us know the song very well till this day.

To Allahyarham Zubir family, I extend my deepest condolence and May Allah Almighty give them patience during this trying period.

Semoga Allah Mencucuri Rahmat Ke atas rohnya Allahyarham Zubir Ali.

It is a New Year..... Good Bye 2008. Welcome 2009!

My new year resolutions:-
1. Change the contour of my beautiful belly to six-packs
2. Detoxify my body by eating more vegi, fruits and nuts
3. Eat less
4. Jog at least 20 mins every Sunday
5. Reduce my golf handicap to 22 ( been declaring 24 eversince start playing 10 years ago)
6. Spend more quality time with my love ones (all 3 children of mine taking major exams this year)
7. No more missing my daily prayers
8. Save more money than 2008 (to achieve financial freedom this year!)
9. Be more political sensitive
10. Quit smoking
